I’m Aaron Thun and I became an insurance agent in August of 1988 when I was hired by the Norshor Agency (after graduating college with a degree in finance) to open a new office in Two Harbors. We rented a small space in the Harbor Landing Mall (currently where the computer firm”Jaws” is located) and after a year, rented a larger space in the same building.

After 5 years we leased the building on 7th Avenue across from Blackwoods Restaurant. In 1997, we had a fire one night, started by an over-heated furnace. At that point, we purchased the Carlstrom Furniture building at our present location and remodeled it into offices.

I became a partner and co-owner of the agency in 1994 and became President in 2001. Throughout all my 25 plus years at the agency, our philosophy has been constant – give the client the best coverage possible at the best premium. We work hard to help the client know how their insurance works and fit the program to their individual needs. The better you understand how your insurance works for you, the better you can make informed decisions on your needs.

I have lived on the North Shore my whole life and despite our sometimes-wicked winters, love all that it has to offer. We in our agency have always strived to be a good partner in the community – we shop here, our children go to school here, we pay taxes here. Our small-town closeness allows us to understand the insurance needs of our neighbors.
